ŌkamiTemplate:'s description

Tsumugari (「都牟刈大刀」?; Tsumugari no tachi) is the first Glaive obtained in both Ōkami and Ōkamiden. It is the reborn form of Nagi's sword Tsukuyomi, which was eaten by Orochi after Susano removed it from its resting place in the Moon Cave.

Acquisitions

Ōkami

Upon the defeat of Orochi, Tsumugari is obtained.

Ōkamiden

Tsumugari is obtained in the Five-Story Pagoda, after Chibiterasu reattaches all the six arms of a Template:Wp statue on the fourth floor of the dungeon. Doing so, a hidden staircase leading to the lower floor is revealed, alongside a treasure chest with the Divine Instrument.

Trivia

Tsumugari equipped by Amaterasu in Ōkami

  • Tsumugari looks very similar to Tsukuyomi, due to being its reborn form.
  • Tsumugari being recovered from Orochi's remains is a reference to how the Blade of Kusanagi was obtained by the Japanese god Susanoo.
  • In Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Template:Wc, the Tsumugari is mis-labelled as the Thunder Edge. Likewise, the Divine Retribution is labelled as the Solar Flare.
