Nuregami is the Celestial Brush god of the Celestial Brush technique Waterspout. She is portrayed as a snake in a water-filled jar, and her constellation is located at the Sasa Sanctuary. ==Waterspout== Waterspout is the first of Amaterasu's source-required powers, needing an external source of water. When the brush point hovers over water, it emits blue-tinted Holy smoke. By drawing a line from the water, Amaterasu can extinguish flaming treasure chests and neutralize demons of the fire element. With this power, Amaterasu can also draw a vertical line upward from a bubbling spring to erupt an elevator-like geyser. The geyser effect can also be produced from bubbling lava pools, although Amaterasu will need to equip the Fire Tablet to survive contact with the lava. Waterspout has two upgrades, one removing the need for a water source, with the other giving the ability to use Mermaid springs without paying a Mermaid Coin. ==Ōkamiden== In Ōkamiden, a young Nuregami 子濡神 returns. She is Nuregami's daughter and serves the same purpose as her predecessor. Unlike her predecessor, she is not trapped in a sphere but instead emerges from a pot full of water. <gallery captionalign="left"> Od nuregami.jpg|Nuregami and her child. </gallery> ==Trivia== *"Nure" means wet. *The jar in which Nuregami resides represents the Suibyō 水瓶, a Buddhist symbolic ewer representing purity, being as well sometimes carried by Avalokitesvara bodhisattva.
