Holy Artifacts are equippable items in Ōkami and Ōkamiden that can be used to enhance Amaterasu and Chibiterasu's abilities or give them special powers. In the first game Holy Artifacts must be bought from merchants using demon fangs, or acquired through side missions. The only available merchants that trade in Artifacts are Kiba, in Agata Forest, Emperor Takara in Sei'an City's Imperial Palace, and Marco in the Ark of Yamato. In the sequel they are instead acquired by completing sets of Issun's Masterpieces, which are hidden collectibles, with the exception of the Lucky Cat Paw.
Both games only have a limited three slots in which Holy Artifacts can be equipped, forcing the player to make a choice on what they prefer to use. The Fog Pot is an exception, as it works passively.
If a New Game+ is started Amaterasu will only keep some of her Artifacts, unlike Chibiterasu who keeps them all. In Amaterasu's case she loses the Fog Pot, Water Tablet, Fire Tablet, and the Thief's Glove.
