Template:OkamiLocation The Celestial Plain is the realm of the Gods where Amaterasu and all the other Celestial Brush Gods as well as the Celestials originate from. It is depicted as an island floating in the sky.

Map

No clear image is given of the layout of the Celestial Plan, but it can be seen on the Ark of Yamato's computer screen at the end. The Celestial Plain appears to have at least one large mountain, a large lake or possibly an ocean, and a large amount of forest.

Places

The Gods apparently could once reach the Celestial Plain from Watcher's Cape in North Ryoshima Coast, but during the game, the only way to the plain was the Ark of Yamato. After Amaterasu and Waka took the ark to the Celestial Plain, it was no longer possible to reach it, though other forms of transportation could theoretically get there, such as Kaguya's rocket.

History

The Island was at peace until Orochi attacked, destroying most of the Celestials who had lived there. The island was soon abandoned when the Celestials left on the Ark of Yamato and met their sad end aboard the cursed boat. While that was happening the Plain was destroyed and no one lived there. Amaterasu had fallen to the land of mortals with Orochi until Nagi, the chosen one, was born.
