Eight dogs who were the guardians of the Gale Shrine, which was accessable via Kusa Village, Amaterasu and Issun had to find them for the Satomi Orbs to be used to dispel the barrier blocking their path, they found a problem with each that they had to overcome in order for them to return to Princess Fuse:


Canine Warrior Rei - Honor Orb

Found: In a hole in the wall. Cherry Bomb needed to destroy the wall.

Status: Returned to Princess Fuse

Canine Warrior Chu (Hayabusa) - Loyalty Orb

Found: Kamiki Village

Reason(s) for not going to Princess Fuse when ordered: Original Hayabusa died trying to protect Mushi's father from monsters. Chu tried to rescue them but was too late. He told Chu that a white arrow will kill Mushi on the night of the full moon. To protect Mushi, Chu assumed the identity of Hayabusa, which was easy being that they were both the same breed.

Status: Staying with Mushi to save him from the arrow.
